THE OPPORTUNITY

Red Boat Fish Sauce Company, the leader in modern day fish sauce, sought to identify new product categories which would be incremental to their core business while still adhering to their strict product and quality standards.

OUR WORK

We assessed market opportunities, analyzed data, and crafted a landscape opportunity assessment. The team then focused on a nuoc cham sauce liquid concentrate for food service and CPG channels, along with four Vietnamese marinades for CPG. We then spearheaded the development, identified a copacker, and led the scale-up and commercialization of these two distinct product lines.

THE RESULT

Nuoc Cham launched into the food serve and CPG channels respectively in the summer of 2020 followed by the braising KHO sauce in 2021 gained recognition, featured in the New York Times June 2021 food section as a strong recommendation.
